The Incubus design comes from a Synthesis.net interview. The Synthesis Network is both a print and online publication that produces a weekly magazine. The Synthesis needed a banner for posting the interview online. They wound up using the banner for the magazine banner as well. I designed the piece so that the audiences’ eye would first fixate on the colorful image, then travel down the text to where the article would be.
